Mount Washington:

Mount Washington is Vancouver Island's premier ski resort. It is the third most-visited ski resort in B.C. Located 31 kilometers (19 miles) west of Courtenay, the average snowfall at Mount Washington is 975 centimeters (32 feet) and the snow here is often deeper than anywhere else in British Columbia.

Mount Washington provides both Alpine and Nordic facilities. Skiers and snowboarders can enjoy 50 daily groomed alpine runs, over 35 kilometers (21 miles) of skating-style and double-track cross-country trails around the mountain, as well as two all natural terrain parks. Snow tubing and snowshoeing can also be enjoyed on Mount Washington.

Mt Washington enthusiasts boast about the natural beauty and the breathtaking scenery from the top of the mountain. The panoramic view of the Strait of Georgia, the Sunshine Coast and the Coast Mountains, and Strathcona Provincial Park are enjoyed in all seasons.

Mt Washington offers exciting summer recreation, too! Some available activities include hiking, mountain biking, scenic chair rides, horseback riding, bungee trampoline, mini golf, and disc golf.

Visitors can take advantage of accommodations and restaurants on the mountain or in nearby Courtenay and the Comox Valley.
